Jack L. McCall, 89, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Savannah.
Mr. McCall was born in Tattnall County on May 19, 1919, the son of the late Charles Francis and Carrie Terrell McCall. Jack was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army Air Corps from 1941-1945. After his tenure in the military he moved to Savannah where he began his career with Union Camp in the Electrical Department. He retired from Union Camp after over forty years of dedicated service. Jack was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a longtime member of Robert McIntire United Methodist Church. He was currently a member of Whitefield United Methodist Church.
Mr. McCall is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Evie "Dell" McCall and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Whitefield United Methodist Church with Dr. Grover Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
